Brilliant close up. Trying to figure out what it is. Is it on an old fashioned cabinet of some sort?

I’m guessing a door handle in an old railway carriage? Lovely nostalgic feel to the shot

It is indeed a door handle inside a beautifully restored Victorian railway carraige, part of the rolling stock on the Bluebell railway in Sussex. There was a wonderful economy of motion in opening the solid doors..
